Research
on the ecology and pest management of bark and wood boring insects is
constantly moving forward. This is partly due to an array of non-native
species increasingly affecting native and plantation forests worldwide.
Several species are thus shared by more than one country and region
attracting cross-border research.
Focused on these shared concerns, IUFRO Section 7.03.05 "Ecology and Management of Bark and Wood Boring Insects" and Section 7.03.12 "Alien Invasive Species and International Trade" will meet in Bariloche, Argentina in September 1-4, 2015.
We plan an exciting venue, expecting the highest academic standards with plenty of time to visit the area!
